Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
The independent developer ("Developer") who develops and distributes pneu.me ("the App") has designed the App with user privacy as the highest priority.
The App has no server. All user data is stored solely on the user's device. Neither the Developer nor any third party can access your data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how data is stored and exchanged on the device.
2. Information We Store
The App stores the following user information on the device. All of this is self-reported information voluntarily entered by the user.

The above information is entered by the user during initial setup and can be changed or deleted at any time. The App does not require account registration and never collects personally identifiable information such as your real name, address, phone number, or email address.
3. Information Exchanged via BLE
The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to directly exchange profile information with other users' devices in physical proximity.
- Data exchanged: display name, age range, gender, preferred gender, and bio
- Communication occurs solely via direct BLE between devices, without passing through any server or cloud service
- BLE advertising (broadcast) signals may be detected by any BLE-capable device nearby. This is inherent to BLE technology
- Encounter records are stored only on the user's own device
Due to the nature of BLE, nearby third-party devices may be able to receive the App's broadcast signals. The information transmitted consists solely of self-reported profile information that the user has chosen to share.
4. Location Information
The App handles location information as follows:
- Optional: Location access is entirely optional. It is recorded only if the user grants location permission on their device
- Purpose: Used solely to record the approximate area where an encounter occurred
- Precision limit: Recorded coordinates are rounded to three decimal places of latitude and longitude, so exact locations are not stored
- Storage: Location data is stored only in the encrypted database on the device
- No server transmission: Location data is never sent to any server or third party
To stop location access, change the App's location permission to "Never" or "Deny" in your device settings.
5. Data Transmission to Servers
The App does not transmit any user data to external servers.
Specifically, the following never occurs:
- Uploading profile information to a server
- Cloud syncing of encounter history
- Sending location data externally
- Connecting to push notification servers (all notifications are local)
- Sending analytics or crash reports externally
- Communicating with advertising networks
6. Data Storage and Encryption
All data in the App is encrypted and stored on the user's device.

Data cannot be accessed without unlocking the device. The Developer has no means to access user data.
7. How to Delete Your Data
Users can delete their data at any time.
- Delete encounter history: Go to the Settings screen in the App and select "Delete History"
- Delete all data including profile: Uninstall the App. Uninstalling completely removes all data stored on the device
Since no data exists on external servers, there is no need to request deletion from the Developer.
8. Sharing Data with Third Parties
The Developer never sells, provides, or shares user data with any third party, including companies, individuals, or government agencies. The App does not incorporate any third-party libraries such as advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or social login SDKs.
9. Cookies and Tracking
The App does not use cookies, web beacons, fingerprinting, or any other tracking technologies, including those via web browsers. There is no user behavior tracking, ad targeting, or profiling of any kind.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is not designed for any specific age group and does not intentionally collect personal information from users of any age. All information stored by the App is self-reported by the user and is never transmitted to a server. We therefore believe there are no concerns regarding the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or similar regulations.
If a minor uses the App, we recommend parental guidance and supervision.
11. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated without prior notice in response to changes in laws or the service. The updated policy takes effect upon publication on this page (https://pneu.me/en/privacy). If significant changes are made, we will notify users through app update notes or similar channels.
